When was a kid, my grandmother served as the pastor of the church I attended. I often visited her outside of the church and she gave me little nuggets of wisdom, most of which stayed with me over the years. One that left on impact on me was telling me the difference between a good day and a better day. She would say, "everyday that you wake up on this side of the dirt is a good day and if you wake on on the other side of the dirt while in a good relationship with God is a better day."
This week there were several people in my circle that received a diagnosis of a serious illness that had potential to end their lives reminding me of my grandmother's wisdom. If you are reading this, no matter what's going on in your life at this moment...it's a good day.
